Khanyounis – The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution implemented a workshop entitled " For a Palestinian society free of violence against woman " at Nawar Educational Center within the project " Support and empowerment to women who are victims of violence " , which is funded by the Norwegian People Aid .
About 30 women attended the workshop which is lead by Ms. Randa Baraka and they discussed the concepts of the violence , its types , reasons and results . Also, they discussed the common reasons of the problems of the psychological health of the women and the problems that face the women and their resolutions .
Ms. Randa Baraka confirmed that the aims of the project are to introduce the psycho-social and legal services and to continue the activities of the project by the psychological sessions to the women or the counseling spots or the free of charge phone service .
The participants emphasized on the importance of increasing such workshops and forming teams of women for helping and solving the problems of the women and they emphasized on the importance of holding meetings that aim the women and men .
