Khanyounis – The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution in cooperation with Khanyounis municipality and in association with The United Nations – UNICEF , organized an open day for the children within the " Child Protection Team " project .
The open day , which is held at the municipality's hall , included several entertainment paragraphs , competitions and activating games that made the children feel happy . They targeted about 50 children whom they worked with , within the awareness and counseling program in order to support them psychologically .
The children expressed their happiness and thanked the united nations – UNICEF and The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution for their concern of the child protection .
At the end of the day , the children were given presents , gifts and toys , the thing that made them feel happy .
